Alternativ Containerization expert
- Container Platform Deployment recommendations:
- High maturity in the CI/CD of image creation.
- Automatic deployment of Kubernetes clusters through infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Select, limit and automate the use of storage, if possible, to avoid generating several classes of storage for different use cases.
- Use of the Observability tools used by the container platform and their integration with corporate tools.
- Apply the security policies that allow the compliance level required by the security department to be carried out, including air gapped installation and the scanning of all components within the platform.
- Scalability by design of the platform in order to ensure, if needed, future possible additional uses.
Â
- Application Deployment / Development within the Containers Platform:
- Configuration of clusters using GitOps integrating within the CI/CD cycle using CRDs (Custom Resource Definition) definitions as simple YAML Files. DevSecOps methodology tools and process is highly recommended.
- The deployment of applications should also include the deployment of the necessary resources on the container platforms in this way the controls are applied to ensure the correct use of the platform.
- Platform architecture definition should be in line with BMC seal of approval on Helix.

WP 01 – Containerization Rancher Product Deployment
Â
- Work with the Linux/Virtualisation admin to setup the Virtualisation system so it will be suitable for them to proceed with the Containerization setup (Test and Prod).
- Setup the Containerization environments (Test and Prod). This will consist of master/worker nodes, logging, monitoring and security. This will involve products such as Rancher Prime, RKE2, Neuvector, Ngnix, Canal, Cantanerd and Prometheus/Grafana.
- Setup the Jenkins and Harbor in an air-gapped solution.
- Setup the BMC Helix based on provided instructions.
- Setup the applications running on BMC Helix based on provided instructions. Work with the DBAs regarding the setup.
- Work with the Linux admin to setup the backup for the solution (and workout the recovery methods).
- Any other activity needed to deploy the solution and being able to maintain it.
- Document the solution.
- Third level support once deployed through senior skills consultants.

WP 02 – Containerization Services Hypercare and Rancher Container Platform In Service Support
Â
During the solution is set up and mainly once is deployed, an hypercare and further support is required. It should cover EF needs in order to ensure smooth operation of the platform with resources with knowledge and On Site, managing standard requests and incidents during the service time (L – V from 0800 to 1700), considering that third level support will be contracted to the company installing the product.
